Short description (about 50 words)

Orbit is an ADHD routine builder for iPhone. Instead of a checklist, a calm, glowing orb walks you through a routine one step at a time — in the app, on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Streak freezes, earned every five days in a row, let a streak survive a bad day. No account, no ads.

Long description (about 150 words)

Orbit is a routine app for people with ADHD — the ones who know exactly what their morning should look like and still cannot get through it. Most routine and habit apps store a list and ask you to tick it off afterwards. Orbit runs the routine with you: tap start, and an ambient orb shows only the current step, counts it down, and hands you the next one. The step follows you onto the Lock Screen and into the Dynamic Island, so a distraction costs seconds instead of the whole morning.

Orbit ships with 14 editable templates, timers that adapt to how long steps really take, and Siri support. Its defining feature is forgiveness: one streak freeze is earned for every five days in a row, and when you return after a missed day, Orbit offers to rescue your streak instead of resetting it to zero. Routines stay on the device, with optional private iCloud sync. There is no account and no advertising.

The founder's story

Orbit is built by Aron de Groot, an independent iOS developer in the Netherlands who has ADHD. The app exists because every habit app he tried followed the same pattern: eleven good days, one bad Tuesday, a streak reset to zero — and the app never opened again. He concluded the mechanic was the problem rather than the person, and built the routine app he needed himself. Orbit 1.0 was released on the App Store on 30 August 2026. More on the about page.
